Senior Accounting Specialist (AR/AP)Direct Hire | Fully On-Site | $80,000–$85,000 annuallyWe are partnering with a well-established organization to identify a Senior Accounts Receivable & Accounting Specialist to join their accounting team. This is a direct-hire opportunity for a detail-oriented, self-driven accounting professional who enjoys owning the full A/R cycle while supporting A/P and cross-functional operations.Position OverviewThis role is responsible for managing daily Accounts Receivable activities, credit and collections, and customer account reconciliations, with additional support in Accounts Payable and billing-related functions. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.Key ResponsibilitiesManage all aspects of the Accounts Receivable lifecycle, including invoicing, credit memos, cash application (checks, wires, credit cards), refunds, and customer reconciliationsOwn collections efforts, including daily review of A/R aging, follow-up on past-due accounts, and collaboration with internal stakeholders to resolve payment issuesResearch and resolve payment discrepancies by reviewing invoices, credit memos, prior cash receipts, and supporting documentationMaintain daily reporting for sales and cash activity to support internal tracking and collections effortsAssist with customer account setup, credit review, and trade reference requestsSupport Accounts Payable functions, including coding and vouching invoices, statement reconciliation, and researching discrepanciesParticipate in month-end A/R close activities and ensure accurate reportingCross-train with billing-related functions, including order processing, invoicing, and documentation as neededCollaborate with internal teams to investigate and resolve order, billing, or invoice-related issuesProvide occasional administrative support, including office supply coordination Qualifications5 years of hands-on experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections, and Accounts PayableStrong working knowledge of A/R, A/P, credit, and collections processesExperience with invoice coding, cash application, and account reconciliationProficiency with spreadsheets and accounting systems; strong attention to detailAbility to manage priorities independently with minimal supervisionExcellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skillsComfortable working on-site in a full-time capacity Compensation & Benefits$80,000–$85,000 base salary (DOE)Direct-hire opportunity with long-term stabilityFull benefits package offered by the employer
