Experience
- 3 years of litigation experience
- Relevant legal, research, or project management experience
- High School Diploma or GED is required; at least 60 college credit hours, military training, or technical school studies in a relevant area preferred
- NALA or other professional paralegal certification required

Job Description
- Arrange mediation or expert witnesses for assigned cases
- Contribute to trial preparation in litigation practices, such as compiling and organizing exhibits
- Provide behind-the-scenes technical and administrative support in the courtroom at hearings and trials, or in arbitration and mediation proceedings
- Draft legal documents and pleadings, including deposition notices, subpoenas, motions, certifications, contracts, briefs, and complaints
- Investigate the facts of a case by interviewing clients and witnesses and performing legal research into case law and precedents
- Handle discovery—the exchange of certain information between opposing parties to a lawsuit
- Manage and update case files by hard copy or in the case management database
- Filing documents with federal and state courts
- Accurately record time for billing purposes
- Paralegal, Administrative Support, Project Management, or similar certification is highly desired
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word; experience using Juris and Perfect Law databases is a definite plus
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal filing rules
- Working knowledge of legal procedures and legal terminology
- Professional approach to assignments with the ability to adjust work priorities when necessary
