Polishing Technician

Position: Polishing Technician

Location: Claremore, OK

Pay: $18 to $23/hour

Type: Full-time; Contract to hire

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am to 4:30pm

ProRecruiters is seeking a Polishing Technician to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description

• Perform all stages of wheel polishing, including sanding, cutting, and final finishing on forged aluminum wheels
• Operate polishing equipment such as airway buffers, bench polishers, and hand tools safely and efficiently
• Inspect wheels before, during, and after polishing to ensure a flawless finish free of scratches, haze, or defects
• Maintain consistency in finishes, including brushed, high polish, and mirror polish surfaces
• Prep wheels for polishing by removing imperfections, machining marks, and prior coatings if necessary
• Work closely with powder coating and finishing teams to ensure proper surface preparation and final results
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation while following all safety procedures
• Meet production deadlines without sacrificing quality
  
  

Position Requirements

• Previous experience polishing aluminum wheels, metal, or similar materials preferred
• Familiarity with polishing compounds, buffing techniques, and surface finishing processes
• Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
• Ability to work with hands for extended periods and handle repetitive tasks
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods
• Team-oriented with a strong work ethic
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with custom or high-end wheel finishing
• Knowledge of brushed and directional finishes
• Understanding of powder coating prep and finishing processes
