Position: Mechanical Designer

Location: Tulsa, OK

Pay: $55,000 to $85,000/year

Experience:

• Engineering science and mechanical design applications experience.
• Basic electronics, hardware/software systems, and technical experience.
• Business, customer service, and administrative experience.

Education: Bachelor’s degree (with moderate-term on-the-job training).

Type: Full-time; Contract

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

ProRecruiters is seeking a Mechanical Designer to join a growing and dynamic team! This role is responsible for the design, development, and support of custom machines and machine components, working closely with engineering, project management, and sales teams.

Job Description:

• Design and draft machines and machine components using 3D CAD software.
• Prepare calculations for tolerances, dimensions, and structural analysis.
• Create technical drawings and pneumatic plans.
• Develop prototypes and perform physical testing to validate designs.
• Collaborate with design, purchasing, and project teams throughout development.
• Support production feasibility, assembly, and installation processes.
• Revise and improve existing products based on customer feedback and data.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards and company procedures.
• Provide mechanical support to project managers and the sales team, including customer presentations.

Position Requirements:

• Advanced proficiency in Solid Edge 3D CAD software.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, machining, and cutting tool technology.
• Knowledge of precision drafting, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Understanding of machines, tools, materials, manufacturing processes, and quality control.
• Knowledge of engineering applications, materials, manufacturing processes, and quality control
• Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate, and troubleshoot effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with electronics, hardware/software systems, and technical documentation.
• Strong communication skills and working knowledge of business, customer service, and administrative practices.

Travel Requirements:

• National and international travel required.
• Comfortable working in foreign countries is expected.
• Occasional extended, multi-week assignments may occur.
• Multi-language proficiency is a plus, but not required.
