Job Description
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees regarding HR-related questions, policies, and procedures.
- Assist with new hire orientation, I-9 verification, and employment documentation.
- Support recruitment efforts including job postings, resume screening, interview coordination, and onboarding.
- Administer benefits programs including health insurance, 401(k), leaves of absence, and employee status changes.
- Support employee relations by assisting with investigations, coaching, and performance documentation.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, EEO, ADA, etc.).
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.
- Assist with payroll-related items such as time sheets, PTO tracking, and personnel updates.
- Support training initiatives, policy updates, and employee communications.
- Participate in audits and compliance efforts related to aerospace and export-controlled environments (ITAR/EAR).
- Assist HR leadership with special projects and continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HRIS systems.
- Working knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, and employee relations.
- Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels.
