Propulsion Controls Engineering has a current opening for a Tool Room Attendant, with a minimum of one year working in a similar industrial environment; supporting our San Diego, CA location.
Job Summary:
A Tool Room Attendant, manages primary shop tool room ensuring accountability of company tools, portable equipment, accessories, miscellaneous fittings, and consumable products.
Essential Functions:
- Maintains an up-to-date and accurate inventory of managed tools.
- Facilitates an effective check in/out practice necessary to ensure tool accountability.
- Maintains tools and equipment in good working order.
- Arranges the repair or replacement of damaged/inoperable tools.
- Maintains stock of consumable products for issue (i.e., disposable coveralls, rags, respirators, cartridges, etc.)
- Maintains an accurate up-to-date listing of overdue tools.
- Other duties as may be assigned.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
Education:
- High School or Equivalent preferred
Experience and Knowledge:
- Minimum of one year working in similar industrial environment.
- Must have good mechanical aptitude and knowledge of general/technical hand and power tools, fasteners and fittings, and parts typical of the marine repair industry.
- Must be well organized and meticulous.
This position may require access to U.S. government or military sites. As such, candidates must be eligible to obtain base access clearance, which includes passing a background check and presenting valid government-issued identification. Per federal requirements, acceptable ID must be REAL ID-compliant or an approved form of federal identification, such as a valid U.S. passport.
