Model N Domain & Technology Architect, you will serve as the primary technical authority for our Model N revenue management ecosystem. Solution Architect specializing in Market Access platforms, GTN processes, and commercial ecosystems, with expertise across Model N. Bridge the gap between complex business requirements and technical execution, ensuring that our clients life sciences or high-tech revenue operations are seamless, compliant, and highly performant. This role requires a deep understanding of the Model N Powered by N (PBN) platform, Flex, and global pricing/rebate domains. This role is critical in ensuring strategic alignment, system stability, and long-term scalability. Drives platform strategy and architectural decisions aligned with business goals; Provides expert-level support for critical issues (L3 escalation). Ensures optimal utilization of Market Access platforms and modules; Acts as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders. Enables innovation and continuous improvement across systems and processes
Skills / Experience
- 10 years in IT, with at least 6-8 years dedicated specifically to Model N architecture and implementation
- 7 years of experience in Platform Mastery and Model N Flex and Powered by N (PBN) versions;
- 7 years of experience in Tech Stack: Proficiency in Java/J2EE, Oracle SQL/PL/SQL, and Web Services (SOAP/REST)
- 7 ears of experience in Integration: Hands-on experience with ETL tools (Boomi) and middleware
- 7 years of experience in Reporting: Familiarity with Model N Intelligence (Cognos/Tableau integration)
- 5 years of experience in Cloud Architecture: Experience with AWS or Azure hosting environments for Model N application suites; Bachelor s / MS or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
Role Description / Key Responsibilities
- Solution Architecture & Strategy Design and oversee the end-to-end technical architecture for Model N implementations, upgrades, and migrations; Define the roadmap for integrating Model N with upstream/downstream systems (ERPs like SAP/Oracle, CRM platforms, and Data Warehouses); Provide architectural leadership on complex customizations vs. standard "out-of-the-box" functionality to ensure long-term maintainability.
- Domain Expertise Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Revenue Management domains, including Government Pricing (GP), Medicaid, Managed Care, Global Price Management, and Chargebacks; Translate regulatory changes (e.g., CMS mandates) into technical system requirements
- Technical Governance Perform code reviews, system health checks, and performance tuning for the Model N application and Oracle database layers; Standardize MSP delivery frameworks to ensure consistent configuration across multiple client environments; Lead troubleshooting efforts for high-priority technical incidents that exceed standard support tiers
- Stakeholder Management Work closely with Client Partners and Program Managers to align technical delivery with client business goals; Conduct technical workshops and discovery sessions to define ""To-Be"" states for new MSP clients; Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills; Ability to act as a trusted advisor and influence decision-making; High level of ownership, accountability, and decision authority; Ability to manage complex situations and high-severity escalations; Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
