IT Asset Manager / Administrative Assistant to support the IT team by managing hardware/software assets, coordinating onboarding and offboarding activities, maintaining inventory systems, and assisting with administrative and limited technical support functions. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and customer service experience.
Key Responsibilities
IT Asset & Inventory Management
- Maintain and update the PEU IT Asset Management system
- Track and manage IT equipment inventory and consumable supplies
- Conduct periodic inventory audits and equipment sweeps
- Generate monthly and ad-hoc inventory reports for the Senior Director of IT
- Manage the IT equipment relinquishment and E-Waste disposal processes
Onboarding & Offboarding Support
- Coordinate IT onboarding and offboarding activities for staff
- Assist with account setup and deactivation in various PEU tools and systems
- Manage user accounts, profiles, and access privileges
IT Support & Administration
- Track and follow up on open IT support requests with partner agencies
- Respond to assigned service desk tickets in a timely manner
- Assist the IT support team with limited technical support duties
- Manage printer/copier requests and office IT supplies
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate documentation
Additional Duties
- Travel to alternate work sites as required
- Support special projects and initiatives assigned by management
- Perform additional administrative or operational duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- 2 years of IT asset management or computer inventory experience
- 2 years of experience in IT service desk operations
- 2 years of computer hardware experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Working knowledge of:
- ServiceNow
- Jira
- Google Workspace
- Snipe-IT
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and documentation abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail, especially with data entry
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Professional and courteous telephone manner
