Prologue Systems is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Field Technician to support reality capture, LiDAR scanning, and existing conditions documentation projects across the United States.
This is not a typical field role.
Our teams work at the intersection of technology, architecture, hospitality, and digital transformation—capturing premier resorts, commercial properties, and complex renovation environments using advanced scanning and documentation technologies. About Prologue

About the Role
As a Field Technician, you will travel to project sites to perform LiDAR scanning, field documentation, photography, and existing conditions data collection. You will work closely with project managers, BIM production teams, and fellow field staff to ensure high-quality data capture and successful project execution.
This is a highly client-facing role requiring professionalism, communication skills, and strong representation of both the Prologue Systems and Prologue Hospitality brands.
The role includes extensive travel and field work, often at premier destination resorts and high-profile hospitality properties throughout the United States and internationally.
While the work can be labor-intensive and requires long days on active project sites, it is not considered physically demanding.
What You’ll Do
- Perform LiDAR scanning and reality capture operations at project sites
- Collect field measurements, site documentation, photography, and existing conditions data
- Operate and maintain scanning equipment and related field technology
- Assist with field verification and coordination efforts
- Organize and transfer field data for internal production teams
- Communicate professionally with clients, property staff, consultants, and project stakeholders
- Represent Prologue with professionalism, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills while on-site
- Support internal quality control and documentation workflows
- Participate in occasional weekend work and extended field assignments as project schedules require
Travel & Field Operations
This position includes extensive multi-day travel throughout the United States and occasionally abroad.
Many projects involve travel to premier hospitality destinations, luxury resorts, and nationally recognized properties—offering a unique opportunity to work in environments most people only experience as guests.
Some assignments may require up to 7 consecutive days in the field depending on project size and scheduling requirements. Weekend work may occasionally be required and is compensated appropriately.

What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Professional demeanor and strong client-facing communication abilities
- Valid driver’s license with safe driving record
- Ability to pass background checks
- Willingness and ability to travel, at times for up to a week
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in the field
- References required
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with any of the following is strongly preferred:
- Surveying or existing conditions documentation
- LiDAR scanning and reality capture workflows
- Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit, ReCap, NavisWorks
- Leica, NavVis or FARO scanning equipment and workflows
- UAV experience, with FAA license encouraged but not required
Some projects may require additional client-specific drug screening prior to site access.
