PROLIM (www.prolim.com) is currently seeking System Administrator for one of our top clients in Newport News, VA
US Citizens only. Due to client requirements and the nature of the position, non-citizens are not eligible to apply.
Hybrid position- must be local to Newport News or willing to relocate.
Job Description
Develop computer systems specifications that address business requirements and that fit with the companys system architecture standards. Establishes and documents system parameters and formats, ensures hardware and software systems compatibility and coordinates and/or modifies system parameters in terms of existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities. Revises existing systems and procedures to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of experience. Master’s Degree and 3 years of experience. Ph.D. and 0 years of experience. 4 years of related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor’s degree. 8 years of non-related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor’s degree.
Special Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 5-9 years in Application Administration
• Experience with Windows Server OS administration, Linux, networking, maintenance and patch remediation.
• Install, configure, patch, and maintain enterprise applications, middleware (e.g., WebLogic, JBoss, Tomcat), and associated web servers (IIS, Apache)
• Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages; automation tools like Ansible
