Plant Modeling Engineer (MATLAB/Simulink)

PROLIM Global Corporation is seeking a Plant Modeling Engineer to support an advanced Global Virtual Engineering (GVE) team focused on developing virtual models for sensors and actuators used in vehicle simulation, validation, and embedded controller development.

- Develop sensor and actuator plant models using MATLAB/Simulink.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Create virtual assets for engine, transmission, hybrid, electrification, and chassis systems.
- Develop and execute model validation and test cases.
- Integrate plant models into simulation environments.
- Collaborate with controls, calibration, hardware, and software engineering teams.
- Maintain model documentation, change management, and release notes.
- Support Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL), Software-in-the-Loop (SiL), Virtual HiL (VHiL), and co-simulation environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in automotive plant modeling or simulation.
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and understand controller interfaces.
- Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet, or SPI.
- Experience with embedded systems and model-based development.
- Master's degree in a related engineering discipline.
- Experience with dSPACE, Simscape, GT-Power, SABER, AEMSIM, ETAS INCA, or similar simulation tools.
- Familiarity with DOORS, Git, SVN, Teamcenter, or RTC.
- Knowledge of vehicle propulsion systems, diagnostics, and ECU hardware.
