🔹 Location: Atlanta, Georgia (Onsite Only)
About the Role:
We are looking for a Certification Engineer with a strong aerospace background to support aircraft certification, compliance, and substantiation projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with FAA regulations, aircraft design processes, and documentation for certification activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop certification plans, compliance checklists, and conformity inspection plans.
- Create substantiation reports and test plans/reports for flammability and cabin safety.
- Prepare certification presentations for project meetings.
- Manage small ST / PMA projects, coordinating data deliverables from suppliers.
- Identify applicable airworthiness requirements for proposed design changes.
- Support FAA regulatory communications and interface with suppliers and project stakeholders regarding certification activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (strongly preferred).
- 5–7 years of relevant engineering experience (including internships/co-ops).
- Knowledge of aircraft certification processes and substantiation techniques.
- Familiarity with aircraft mechanical/structural design processes, materials, fabrication methods, and aerospace hardware.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office.
- Highly organized, effective individual contributor, and professional communicator.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in aircraft interiors.
- Previous experience as a certification engineer, design engineer, or substantiation engineer.
