DAYCARE SUBSTITUTE

Project Turnabout is seeking a dedicated individual to operate our employee daycare facility. If you are passionate about early childhood education and are ready for a rewarding challenge, we want you on our team!

JOB STATUS: Part time - 1 day per week

LOCATION: Granite Falls, MN

EXAMPLES OF JOB DUTIES:

• Supervise, monitor and provide care to a group of children in our facility.
• Follow the daily schedule and establish a routine for the children.
• Engage the children in activities to encourage learning, development and social interaction.
• Prepare and serve meals and snacks to the children.
• Administer basic first aid when necessary.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment.
• Monitor the children's behavior, discipline them appropriately and report any issues to the supervisor..
• Keep accurate records of the children's daily activities and progress.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with parents, ensuring open communication and involvement.
• Adhere to all licensing regulations.
• Implement health and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of children.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the daycare facility.
• Mealtime routines.
• Administer basic first aid when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or caregiving setting.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for daycare centers.
• Enthusiasm for contributing to the growth and success of a new daycare.

ORGANIZATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Daycare licensure preferred.
• Ability to pass a State and Federal background study.
• Must obtain and maintain all CPR criteria for daycare center.
• Stay up to date with all training guidelines per state and county requirements.
• Attend any required in-services or workshops provided by Project Turnabout.
• Must have satisfactory completion of background check.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Must be able push and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stoop, bend, reach over the head, & kneeling may be required.
• Must have satisfactory completion of medical exam and health screenings.
