Job Summary
The Roofing Operations Manager will oversee and coordinate all aspects of roofing projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, extensive construction knowledge, and a comprehensive understanding of roofing systems. This role involves managing teams, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering high-quality results on time and within budget. The Roofing Operations Manager will play a critical role in planning, executing, and supervising roofing operations across multiple projects, ensuring efficiency and excellence in every aspect of work.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage roofing project teams, including subcontractors and labor crews, to ensure project milestones are met effectively.
- Oversee the planning and execution of roofing installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Develop detailed construction estimates and project timelines based on blueprints, schematics, and client specifications.
- Coordinate procurement of materials such as hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and roofing supplies.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and industry regulations.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality control, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are clearly understood and met.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to optimize productivity.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to roofing systems or construction site challenges.
- Maintain detailed documentation of project activities, change orders, and safety reports.
Skills
- Extensive experience with estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and project planning for roofing projects.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, masonry tools, and other construction machinery.
- Strong background in roofing systems as well as related fields such as framing carpentry, metal stud framing, stucco application, tile laying, restoration work, plumbing integration, masonry work, concrete forming, fabrication techniques, remodeling projects, caulking applications, trim carpentry, heavy lifting operations, drywall installation (including drywall taping), welding processes, masonry skills including brickwork or stonework.
- Knowledge of construction site safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to read technical drawings including blueprints and schematics for various construction disciplines.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple teams simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on quality control and efficiency improvements.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with clients and team members across diverse trades.
