Benefits Administration & Employee Wellness
- Administer employee benefits programs, including eligibility, enrollment, life event changes, and employee inquiries.
- Manage annual open enrollment activities and employee communications.
- Review and approve benefit-related transactions within the benefits administration system.
- Audit and reconcile benefit invoices to ensure billing accuracy.
- Partner with brokers, carriers, and vendors to resolve enrollment and billing discrepancies.
- Support the design, promotion, and administration of employee wellness initiatives and programs.
- Research, attend, and represent the company at job fairs, career fairs, networking events, and community outreach initiatives.
- Assist with employment branding and talent marketing efforts, including job advertisements, social media campaigns, and recruitment strategies.
- Coordinate candidate communications, interview scheduling, and applicant tracking activities.
- Participate in candidate interviews and hiring processes as needed.
- Manage pre-employment activities, including background checks, drug screenings, I-9 verification, and E-Verify compliance.
- Coordinate and facilitate onboarding and new hire orientation programs to ensure a positive employee experience from day one.
- Collaborate with managers and internal departments to ensure seamless onboarding and equipment readiness.
- Serve as a trusted resource for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Administer employee status changes, promotions, transfers, and other employment actions within HRIS systems.
- Communicate payroll-related employee changes to payroll partners to ensure accurate processing.
- Manage employee leave of absence programs, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and other applicable leave programs.
- Support the administration and growth of the company's Apprenticeship Program.
- Coordinate mandatory compliance training and assist in identifying future learning and development opportunities.
- Support HR reporting, documentation, record retention, and audit readiness efforts.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, wellness activities, and company events.
- Partner with leadership to identify opportunities to enhance employee satisfaction, retention, and workplace culture.
- Assist with employee communications and company-wide HR announcements.
- Analyze employee feedback and exit interview data to identify trends and recommend actionable improvements.
- Contribute ideas and strategies that strengthen employee experience and organizational effectiveness.
- Conduct HR research and stay current on industry trends and best practices.
- Support special projects, process improvements, and departmental initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment law, employee relations, and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms.
- Experience supporting employee benefits administration.
- Human Resources experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience using Paylocity.
- Professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR.
