What You'll Do
Facilities & Maintenance Management
- Oversee facility maintenance operations and equipment reliability programs.
- Maintain and service manufacturing equipment, including waterjets, CNC machines, lathes, grinders, boring mills, Bridgeports, and wire EDM equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and facility-related issues.
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs for forklifts, cranes, scissor lifts, compressors, HVAC systems, and building infrastructure.
- Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs that support operational efficiency and ISO requirements.
- Administer and maintain the company's work order system, equipment records, maintenance history, and service documentation.
- Ensure compliance with required inspections, testing, and maintenance programs, including fire protection systems, emergency lighting, backflow prevention devices, and related systems.
- Manage contractor and vendor relationships for facility services, repairs, and improvement projects.
- Coordinate facility support services, including landscaping, snow removal, waste management, and contracted maintenance activities.
- Manage maintenance-related purchasing and vendor services.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve workplace safety programs, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and all applicable federal, state, and local safety requirements.
- Conduct safety audits, facility inspections, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations.
- Lead initiatives that reduce workplace injuries, illnesses, and property damage.
- Maintain SDS documentation and hazardous material compliance programs.
- Monitor regulatory changes and communicate compliance requirements throughout the organization.
- Partner with leadership to identify safety risks and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate fire protection inspections and related compliance activities.
- Conduct ergonomic assessments and recommend improvements to reduce injury risks.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels.
- Facilitate safety meetings, workshops, toolbox talks, and ongoing education programs.
- Maintain employee training records and certification requirements.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements to support organizational goals.
- Promote employee participation in safety initiatives and recognition programs.
- Investigate workplace injuries, accidents, near-misses, and safety incidents.
- Complete incident reports, root cause analyses, and corrective action plans.
- Manage workers' compensation claims from initial reporting through claim closure.
- Coordinate return-to-work and transitional duty programs.
- Serve as the primary liaison with insurance carriers, medical providers, and third-party administrators.
- Track incident trends and implement proactive measures to reduce risk and improve safety performance.
- Assist with machine risk assessments and equipment safety validation processes.
- Support machine safety labeling, signage, and compliance requirements.
- Review safety performance metrics and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Support facility security programs, visitor management, and access control procedures.
- Collaborate with Human Resources on employee wellness, safety, and health initiatives.
- Supervise custodial staff and assigned personnel.
- Provide leadership, coaching, training, and performance management.
- Establish performance expectations and ensure accountability.
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and employee development.
- Manage workload priorities and ensure departmental objectives are achieved.
- Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Required
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, facilities maintenance, safety, or a related field.
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
- Experience leading teams or supervising employees.
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, workplace safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Associate degree or technical certification in Facilities Management, Safety, Maintenance Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
- Experience servicing CNC equipment and advanced manufacturing machinery.
- Experience administering workers' compensation programs and return-to-work processes.
- Professional safety certification such as CSP, OHST, CIH, or equivalent.
- Experience working within ISO-certified manufacturing environments.
