1). Sheeting Machine Assistant:
- 6AM - 6PM (4 Days on/4 Days off)
- 6PM - 6AM / 8PM - 6AM (4 Days on/4 Days off) $2.00 Shift Differential
2). Rewind Machine Assistant:
- 6AM - 4PM (Monday-Thursday)
- 8PM - 6AM (Sunday - Wednesday) $2.00 Shift Differential
3). Packaging Assistant
- 8p-6am (Monday - Thursday) $2.00 Shift Differential
OT will be based on production needs
Job Overview
The Machine Assistant Operator is an entry level position that supports manufacturing operations within the Converting, Rewinding, or Coating departments. This role provides hands on assistance to production teams and offers training in one of several support positions critical to efficient machine operation.
Specific Positions
The Machine Assistant Operator will be trained in one primary position and candidates are encouraged to learn multiple roles prior to advancing into a main operator position. Candidates will receive offers for a specific role such as:
- Roll Tender – Responsible for preparing and staging rolls to be mounted on sheeters, rewinders, or coating presses.
- Packaging Operator – Responsible for wrapping and preparing finished paper products including rolls, sheets, or boxed paper. Packaging duties may also include operating wrapping equipment such as case packers, balers, or shrink tunnels.
Physical Requirements
This is a physically demanding position that requires standing for extended periods, frequent bending, lifting, and moving finished goods. Operators will regularly use material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts to transport products safely and efficiently.
This role is ideal for individuals seeking to gain hands on manufacturing experience and develop skills within a fast paced production environment.
