We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing accounting team. In this key role, you will provide financial and accounting support for both Parker Freeze Dry (Division of ProForm) and an affiliated entity under common ownership. This position is ideal for a seasoned accounting professional who enjoys balancing strategic financial insight with hands-on execution. The Senior Accountant will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting operational efficiency, and strengthening internal processes. You will work closely with leadership to ensure financial data supports sound decision-making and long-term business growth.
- Wage: $78,000-$92,000, depending on experience.
- Hours: Typical hours are M-F 8am-5pm. Extended hours may occasionally be required during month-end, year-end, or audit periods.
- This position operates primarily in an office environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Own preparation and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and support schedules for accuracy and completeness.
- Lead key components of the month-end and year-end close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Prepare internal financial statements and management reports in accordance with GAAP.
- Analyze financial results, identifying and explaining key variances and trends.
Cost Accounting & Analysis
- Develop and maintain standard costs, including material, labor, and overhead rates.
- Analyze manufacturing variances and partner with operations to identify root causes and opportunities for improvement.
- Manage inventory valuation, cycle counts, and reconciliation between physical and system records.
- Provide financial insights to support production efficiency, cost control, and pricing decisions.
Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable
- Own AR/AP processing and ensure timely billing, collections, and vendor payments.
- Review AR and AP aging and follow up on discrepancies.
- Ensure proper coding of invoices.
- Manage vendor onboarding, W-9’s, and 1099 reporting.
- Execute cash applications and bank deposits.
- Drive implementation of AR/AP automation and workflow enhancements within the ERP environment to reduce manual processing, improve accuracy, and accelerate close timelines.
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting procedures, and documentation.
- Partner with leadership to implement and optimize ERP systems.
- Support annual audit activities, including preparation of schedules, documentation, and coordination with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion.
- Support and implement standardized SOPs for AR/AP, inventory, and month-end close to improve consistency, efficiency and controls.
Collaboration & Support
- Partner with operations, HR, and purchasing to ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and promptly.
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes through analysis, data validation, and variance reporting.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- CPA designation or progress toward CPA preferred.
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger, inventory, and financial analysis responsibilities.
- Experience in a cost-accounting environment is strongly preferred.
- Manufacturing or process-industry background.
Skills & Competencies
- Solid understanding of GAAP and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP/accounting systems (manufacturing ERP experience preferred).
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
