Business Intelligence Analyst

A leader in the non-profit industry is hiring a BI Analyst in Alexandria, VA for a full time position, onsite 2 days a week. BI Analyst Perks:Opportunity to work in a hybrid environment with part-time telework flexibility.Choice of office location across multiple major cities including Alexandria, Louisville, Monterey, San Diego, or Minneapolis.Collaborative cross-functional work with project managers, data teams, and department leaders.Exposure to modern BI tools and cloud technologies including Tableau, SQL, Python, and AWS.Ability to lead data initiatives and influence project outcomes during critical phases of project delivery. BI Analyst Requirements:Proficiency in SQL, Excel, Tableau, and hands-on database management experience.Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights.Ability to work with imperfect datasets and maintain high data integrity across sources.Proven ability to lead analytical efforts and partner with internal and external stakeholders.Logical problem-solving skills with the ability to structure databases, validate complex questions, and deliver accurate, user-ready outputs. BI Analyst Responsibilities:Collect, clean, validate, and integrate datasets from multiple internal and external sources with strong data governance practices.Design and develop Tableau dashboards, SQL-based reporting, and automated data workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes.Analyze data trends to provide actionable insights and support project managers and department leaders with data-driven decision making.Maintain and enhance data infrastructure, including the MySQL database, Tableau Prep workflows, and Smartsheet reports and automations.Produce recurring and ad-hoc deliverables such as dashboards, operational reports, performance metrics, and documentation while communicating status updates daily.
