What are the responsibilities and job description for the Private Duty RN Coatesville position at Professional Nursing Services, Inc.?
Patient is an adult, ambulatory male on the autism spectrum who lives at home with his mother. Needs assistance with all morning ADL's including bathing. He is pleasant, loves nature walks, playing basketball and watching Blue's Clues. He loves singing and being sung to. On occasion, he can be physically aggressive with family or staff. Ideally, the nurse should have experience with de-escalation strategies w/ patients who have behavioral plans. The patient has an active seizure disorder, so nurse must be able to act quickly and follow proper seizure protocol. There are friendly pets (dogs and cats) in the home.
*The client is very active, and does not like to be still.* He enjoys being outside, taking many walks, swinging, and being out in the community.
SHIFTS:
MON , WED, FRI 6am-5pm
TUES, THURS 6am-5pm
We are looking for 2 nurses to split Monday-Friday 6am-5pm shifts.
