School Bus Trainer- Parker, COPay: $27.36 – $37.01/hr DOESchedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (occasional 5:30 AM start, paid overtime)Type: Full-Time, Year-Round (260 days)We are seeking a School Bus Trainer to provide classroom and hands-on instruction for bus drivers and transportation educational assistants (TEAs). This role ensures all staff meet state, federal, and district safety and operational standards while promoting positive community relations.ResponsibilitiesConduct classroom and behind-the-wheel training for bus drivers and TEAs.Evaluate driver and TEA skills and knowledge, maintaining accurate records for audits and compliance.Oversee licensing, certifications, physicals, drug screenings, and safety training compliance.Prepare written materials such as reports, training handouts, and safety guidelines.Perform occasional bus driving or TEA duties as needed to support transportation operations.Maintain a safe, organized environment for training, including outside work in all weather conditions.QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent.Minimum 2 years of school bus driving experience with a current CDL A or B with P & S endorsements.Must complete ELDT Instructor, First Aid/CPR Instructor, and CPI Instructor certifications within 5 months of hire.Strong classroom presentation and hands-on training skills.Comfortable lifting 5–50 lbs, frequent sitting/standing, occasional bending and squatting.Computer skills, including Google Workspace proficiency.Knowledge of FMCSR CDL rules and safety regulations.Physical & Equipment RequirementsOperate heavy and light-duty vehicles, including school buses.Train and perform duties in varied outdoor conditions (rain, snow, heat).BenefitsHealth, vision, and dental insuranceHSA/FSA and supplemental insurance optionsPaid vacation, sick, and personal timeRetirement plans: 401(k), 403(b), 457 optionsEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Company DescriptionProfessional Employment Group of CO is a specialized staffing firm comprised of honest, passionate, and well-networked recruiters.
