Position Summary – Accountant

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking an Accountant to join their growing finance team in Dallas, Texas. This position operates on a hybrid schedule, combining in-office collaboration with remote work flexibility. The accountant will support core accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with internal controls, and assisting with monthly and year-end close processes.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This role will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and operational efficiency while contributing to continuous improvement within the accounting function.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances
- Support financial reporting and analysis for internal stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Assist with audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests
- Support process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency within the accounting cycle
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper accounting treatment of transactions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 6-10 years of accounting experience preferred, ideally within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting principles
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a hybrid work environment
