A growing HVAC technology company is seeking a hands-on Commercial HVAC Technician / Technical Specialist to support installations, troubleshooting, and customer support for advanced filtration systems used in commercial HVAC equipment.
This role is not a typical residential service position. It combines field work, system commissioning, and technical support while working closely with building engineers, facility teams, and mechanical contractors in commercial buildings.
Key Responsibilities
• Install and commission filtration systems in AHUs, RTUs, MAUs, and fan coil units
• Perform troubleshooting, inspections, and corrective maintenance
• Verify airflow direction, electrical connections, and installation integrity
• Provide technical support to building engineers and contractors
• Assist customers with maintenance procedures and system troubleshooting
• Document service visits, installation reports, and commissioning results
Travel
Service commercial buildings across Maryland, Washington DC, and Northern Virginia. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
• 3 years commercial HVAC experience (service or installation)
• Experience working with air handlers, rooftop units, or fan coil systems
• Basic electrical troubleshooting (24V–240V)
• Ability to use diagnostic tools such as a multimeter
• Comfortable working in mechanical rooms and rooftop environments
• Strong communication skills working with customers and facility teams
• Valid driver’s license
Preferred
• EPA 608 Certification
• HVAC trade school or technical certification
• Experience working with building engineers or property management teams
• Familiarity with airflow, static pressure, and filtration systems
Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
