The Technical Product Manager (Digital Services) is an intermediate-level position that will lead or assist execution of virtual, in-person, and hybrid events. Project scopes range from show network administration, speaker ready administration, help desk, record technician, streaming technician, and more. Management of contract and union labor will also be required. The work involves considerable client and end-user contact. Primary Responsibilities
- Primary or secondary (pending scope) on-site contact leading engineering projects.
- Executes on-site (or virtual) plan as designed by lead engineer.
- May be required to participate in client presentations.
- Consults with and troubleshoots client’s unresolved technology issues.
- Execute on-site production tasks as required and assigned.
- Interfaces with account management team and PRG AOL to ensure all necessary gear is ordered and delivered.
- Interface with Project Management and Account Management staff as required regarding show schedules, budgets, and other documentation needs.
- Communicates as assigned relative to project status and performance.
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, with a concentration in information systems, computer science or relevant technology related fields.
- Experience or demonstrated interest in audio/visual production.
- Experience administrating Windows desktop and server systems.
- Macintosh and Linux administration experience is a plus.
- Experience in creating and administrating scripts to accomplish tasks.
- Understanding of a client-server model for distributed applications.
- Basic understanding of relational databases and API interactions with third-party applications.
- Fundamental understanding of network technology, including routing and switching, Wi-Fi technology, etc.
- Knowledge of Internet video streaming technologies.
- Well-developed soft skills including communication, conflict resolution, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
