On behalf of our Oil & Gas client, Procom is searching for a TA Lead Planner for a contingent role. This position is onsite at our client’s Superior, Wisconsin office.
TA Lead Planner - Job Description:
The TA Lead Planner will be responsible for delivering detailed job plans, cost estimates, schedules, and critical path controls for the execution of turnaround projects. The role involves leading Turnaround Teams through the planning process utilizing the approved work management process flow.
TA Lead Planner - Responsibilities:
- Compile turnaround work lists with turnaround core teams.
- Review all turnaround jobs in the field and risk rank scope.
- Supervise supporting planner staff and review detailed job packages.
- Develop step-by-step resource-loaded work schedules in Primavera Project Planner (P6).
- Produce work packages for contractors, including work lists, schedules, and material lists.
- Lead turnaround boardwalk meetings and manage manpower levels for service contractors.
- Coordinate service contractors and procure long-lead materials.
- Act as execution lead during the execution phase and lead outages and unplanned events.
- Track costs and manage the job change order process during events.
- Develop event contingency plans and facilitate the engineering process for turnaround scope activities.
- Proficient in turnaround planning/scheduling and estimating principles.
- Proficient computer skills, including Primavera P6, SAP, MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint, Power BI.
- Knowledge of procurement, accounting, contracting strategies, and QA/QC procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Mechanical field planning experience.
- 8-10 years of relevant experience required.
- Familiarity with Petrochemical Maintenance Procedures.
- Experience in metals crafts (piping, exchangers, vessels, scaffolding).
- Meeting facilitation abilities.
- Able to mentor and train other planners and schedulers.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
