The UI/UX Developer will support the development of modern, accessible digital experiences across web and mobile platforms. This role partners with business stakeholders and full-stack engineering teams to deliver ADA-compliant, user-centered front-end solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on development expertise, experience with accessibility standards, and the ability to serve as both designer and developer on high-visibility initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Research, design, develop, test, and implement front-end UI components and user experiences
Convert UX designs and wireframes into functional solutions within JavaScript and Java environments
Create clean, semantic HTML that meets ADA, WCAG, and Section 508 accessibility standards
Support and enhance design system components, templates, and accessibility improvements
Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and architects through the full SDLC
Participate in usability reviews, UI testing, and accessibility validation
Develop reusable, responsive UI patterns and code libraries aligned to modern web standards
Work with frameworks such as React, Vue.js, AngularJS, and jQuery
Stay current on UI technologies, tools, and industry best practices
Assist with design documentation, wireframes, and mockups
Support responsive web and mobile interface development
Contribute to Agile sprint activities and product planning discussions
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; equivalent experience considered
Strong hands-on front-end development experience using JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
Experience with at least one modern framework such as React, Vue.js, or Angular
Proven experience developing ADA-compliant and WCAG-aligned digital solutions
Experience designing and implementing responsive web interfaces
Ability to collaborate with business and technical teams in an Agile/Scrum environment
Strong communication, problem-solving, and user-focused design skills
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
UI/UX or web development certifications or formal training
Experience with Adobe Experience Manager, SharePoint, or WordPress
Exposure to REST API integrations
Experience with human-centered design and usability research practices
Prior experience working in regulated or enterprise environments
