Job description:
We are looking for a Part-Time Showroom Administrative Assistant to support daily operations in our tile and interior design showroom. This role involves administrative support, customer service, and order coordination in a fast-paced, design-focused environment.
This position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys working with clients, designers, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Administrative & Order Support
- Manage and maintain records, invoices, and purchase orders
- Organize and track incoming and special orders, ensuring timely follow-ups
- Tag and label orders arriving in the warehouse
- Assist with scheduling deliveries and coordinating with vendors
- Maintain office supplies and showroom materials
2. Customer Service
- Greet and assist customers in the showroom with general inquiries and re-orders
- Answer phone calls and emails, directing them to appropriate team members
- Provide updates on order status
- Maintain a welcoming and professional showroom environment
3. Showroom & Team Coordination
- Coordinate with warehouse and design team to ensure smooth order processing
- Assist with client add-ons and order updates
- Maintain showroom cleanliness, organization, and sample displays
- Support overall daily showroom operations
Qualifications:
- Previous administrative or customer service experience (design/showroom experience a plus)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); QuickBooks a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
Schedule & Compensation:
- Part-time: Approximately 24–32 hours per week
- Must be available Mondays, Tuesdays, and Saturdays
- Day shifts ending approximately 6:00–7:00 PM
- Pay: $20-25 per hour
- Potential for growth into a full-time role
