Responsibilities
The SMT Operator position is part of the Production Team. This is a full-time, non-exempt position, located in our Mayfield, Ohio office. This position will require a broad range of responsibilities to ensure success. Including, but not limited to these functionalities:
Prior experience in electronics manufacturing or PCB assembly is strongly preferred. IPC-A-610 Knowledge; IPC-A-610 certification is a plus. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods. Manual dexterity required for handling small components. Comfortable working in an ESD-controlled environment. Willing to travel for training Technical Skills
The compensation range for this role is $22.00-$27.00/hour.

Responsibilities
The SMT Operator position is part of the Production Team. This is a full-time, non-exempt position, located in our Mayfield, Ohio office. This position will require a broad range of responsibilities to ensure success. Including, but not limited to these functionalities:
- Set up and operate SMT machines and equipment (e.g., pick-and-place machines, stencil printers, reflow ovens).
- Read and interpret BOMs, work instructions and identify SMD components (resistors, capacitors, ICs, etc.).
- Complete rework and hand soldering as needed
- Collaborate with process and quality engineers to resolve defects or equipment issues.
- Use magnification tools, AOI, or X-ray inspection systems to conduct visual inspection.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
- Follow detailed assembly drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Assist in the development and improvement of work instructions.
- Program and load jobs on SMT machines (Yamaha, Juki, Fuji, etc.).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Education: High School/GED diploma required.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of operating SMT equipment (e.g., Yamaha, Juki, Fuji, Panasonic, etc.).
- Proficient in setup, operation, and basic maintenance of SMT machinery
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and bills of materials.
- Skilled in identifying SMT components and understanding polarity/orientation requirements.
- Familiarity with soldering techniques and rework of SMT components.
- Basic understanding of machine programs and job loading procedures.
- Experience with AOI or X-ray inspection systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Experience in project management and process improvement.
