About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and technically proficient Power Supply Sales Engineer to join our sales team. This role involves promoting and selling power supply products to customers across various industries. Products range from pulse and reverse power supplies, programmable switch mode power supplies and linear power supplies. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical knowledge of power supplies with excellent communication and relationship building skills to drive customer success.
Responsibilities
Sales
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in industrial sectors such as automation, manufacturing and power supplies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, system integrators, and end-users.
- Prepare and deliver compelling technical presentations and product demonstrations.
Technical Consultation
- Understand customer applications and recommend appropriate AC/DC and DC/DC power supply configurations and solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to customize solutions.
- Provide pre- and post-sales technical support, including troubleshooting and system integration.
Proposal & Quotation Management
- Prepare detailed proposals, quotations, and cost estimates.
- Negotiate pricing and contract terms in alignment with company policies.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor industry trends, competitor products, and customer feedback to inform product development.
- Attend trade shows, conferences, and customer visits to stay current with emerging technologies and evolving customer needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics, or a related technical field.
- 8 years of experience in technical sales or application engineering, preferably in power supplies or power electronic solutions.
- Strong understanding of AC/DC and DC/DC power supply technologies and industrial application.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel up to 50% as required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with power supply compliance standards (e.g., UL, CE, RoHS, ISO).
- Familiarity with CRM tools and ERP systems.
- Multilingual capabilities are a plus.
