Qualifications:

• Active Colorado Department of Education Teacher License with Special Education Generalist (Ages 5-21) Endorsement, or BCBA credential
• Completion of district background check and fingerprinting requirements
• Experience supporting students with ASD or similar needs in a school setting preferred
• Strong mentoring, leadership, and co-regulation skills

Responsibilities:

• Serve as lead teacher in one of two ASD classrooms for grades 1-5, providing specialized instruction, behavioral support, and physical assistance (including diapering)
• Create a stable, supportive learning environment after a period of substitute teachers
• Mentor and train a dedicated paraprofessional interested in pursuing an alternative licensure path
• Collaborate closely with an established paraprofessional team to support student success and classroom consistency
