A full-time opportunity is available for a school psychologist to support elementary students in the Chattanooga, TN area. This role is based within a school district serving grades K-5 and requires participation in diverse activities including conducting evaluations, attending ARD meetings, developing IEPs, and creating behavior plans. The position involves collaboration across multiple schools with some minor travel between assigned locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform psychological assessments for elementary students (K-5)
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings
- Create and monitor behavior intervention plans
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and staff to support student success
- Maintain compliance with district policies and state requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Tennessee Department of Education (DOE) certification in school psychology
- Completion of required fingerprinting and credentialing processes
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children preferred
- Strong knowledge of psychological evaluation tools and intervention strategies
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and work independently
Work Schedule and Location:
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (part-time candidates will not be considered)
- Assignments vary by school but all are within the Chattanooga area
- Start ASAP through May 21, 2026
