Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1 years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contracted position is available for a Teachers for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to support visually impaired students in the Denver area, with assignments potentially across multiple schools. The role will begin August 6, 2026, and continue through May 26, 2027, with hours per week to be determined based on assignment and school needs.
Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction and support to visually impaired students in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Collaborate with other educators, families, and specialists to ensure students receive comprehensive support.
Conduct assessments and adapt instructional materials to meet student needs.
Serve a caseload that may include a range of ages and schools within the district.
Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.
Qualifications:
Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired.
Willingness to complete required background checks and fingerprinting.
Experience levels ranging from entry-level up to 10 years preferred; candidates with varying years of experience considered.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Flexibility to work at different school locations in the Denver area.
Location:This position requires onsite work within schools located in the Denver Metropolitan area, including Littleton, CO.
