This contractual position offers a unique opportunity for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide specialized support within a vibrant school setting located in Lakewood, WA. The role focuses on delivering speech and language services to students from kindergarten through 8th grade, ensuring individualized care and effective communication development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language evaluations, therapy, and progress monitoring for a caseload of approximately 12 students.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services, assessments, and communications.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to program improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Actively licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Washington State.
- Endorsement as an Educational Staff Associate (ESA) is required.
- Experience working with K-8 student populations in educational settings is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and staff.
Position Details:
- Contract period: April 20, 2026 to June 16, 2026.
- Work schedule: 30 hours per week over 4 days.
