Speech Pathologist Assistant in Escondido, CA

Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1 years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available in a middle school setting in Escondido, CA. This contract role requires 37.5 hours per week and offers an immediate start, continuing through the end of the current school year. The position involves supporting students with speech and language needs within a diverse middle school caseload.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in implementing treatment plans tailored to middle school students.
• Support the assessment and documentation of student progress.
• Collaborate with educators and other school staff to enhance communication development.
• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions under supervision.
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with school district guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
• Experience working in school settings, specifically middle school caseloads.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is strongly preferred to effectively serve a diverse student population.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary educational environment.
