Skills and Experience Sought:
- Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license is required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is highly preferred
- Prior experience delivering school-based speech-language services, particularly with high school students
- Demonstrated ability to conduct speech and language evaluations and develop/monitor IEP goals
- Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, special educators, administrators, and families
- Outstanding communication, organization, and documentation abilities
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy both directly and indirectly for students, ensuring compliant and individualized service delivery
- Conduct formal evaluations and contribute to the development and implementation of IEPs
- Offer support and consultation to school staff and parents about speech-language needs and program modifications
- Maintain thorough records and progress notes according to school policy
- Participate actively in meetings with the special education team
