Step into a dynamic contract role as a Physical Therapist providing essential support to students in a K-12 environment during the Extended School Year (ESY) program. This rewarding opportunity runs from July 1 to July 30, Monday through Thursday, with a convenient schedule from 7:45am to 1:00pm. Located near New Haven, CT, you’ll work in an engaging educational setting, helping students reach their mobility and functional goals.
What You’ll Bring:
- Valid Physical Therapy license for the state of Connecticut
- Experience working with K-12 students, preferably in a school setting
- Strong ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Understanding of IEPs and the ability to develop and implement therapy plans
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
Daily Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services to students K-12
- Assess, plan, and document interventions aimed at improving students’ mobility and participation in school activities
- Collaborate with educational teams to support students’ academic and physical development
- Monitor progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet individual goals
- Provide documentation and input for IEP meetings as required
