Qualifications:
- Active New Hampshire Teaching License required
- Experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in behavioral or mental health settings
- Familiarity with self-contained classroom models and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong skills in evaluating academic and behavioral goals
- Commitment to collaborative case management and effective reporting
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Lead a self-contained classroom for students with behavioral and mental health needs (approx. 10–16 student caseload)
- Deliver tailored instruction to meet individualized student goals
- Conduct ongoing student evaluations to monitor progress and adjust plans as needed
- Manage IEP case files, ensuring timely and effective documentation and communication with families and staff
- Participate in regular meetings with support staff, administration, and families to coordinate care and strategies
- Create a positive, structured classroom environment that prioritizes student wellbeing
Position Details:
- Full academic year contract: September 1, 2026, to June 16, 2027
- Schedule: 32.5–35 hours per week; school hours are 7:30 AM to 2:20 PM
