What We're Looking For:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Previous experience working with elementary-aged children, especially in special education settings
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and progress monitoring
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Dedication to fostering an engaging, supportive classroom climate
Role Details and Responsibilities:
- Guide and instruct a caseload of eight elementary students in the LIFT program
- Design and implement lesson plans tailored to diverse learning needs and abilities
- Conduct ongoing assessment of student progress and adapt strategies as necessary
- Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and families to ensure students’ needs are met
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including IEP documentation
- Work within the following schedule: 8:15 am – 4:00 pm, beginning at the start of the school year (August 3, 2026) through the end of the school year (May 25, 2027)
