A school located in Easton, PA, is seeking a Special Education Teacher for an Emotional Support classroom serving 3rd to 5th-grade students. This is a full-time contract position from ASAP through June 10, 2026.
Location: Easton, PA
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:15 AM 3:45 PM (35 hours per week with a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support tailored to students with emotional support needs in grades 3-5
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social and emotional growth
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administrators regarding student development and needs
Qualifications:
- Fully active Pennsylvania teaching certificate in Special Education
- Experience working in emotional support or related special education settings preferred
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to create a nurturing learning atmosphere
- Must meet state certification requirements; emergency permits are not accepted
