Special Education Teacher - Hendersonville, Tennessee

Make an immediate difference in the lives of elementary students as a Special Education Teacher supporting inclusive classrooms through both push-in and pull-out models. Qualifications:

• Active Tennessee Special Education Teaching Certification (required)
• Experience working with elementary-aged students strongly preferred
• Ability to utilize both inclusion and resource/pull-out strategies
• Excellent communication and organization skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide special education services in inclusion/push-in and pull-out settings
• Modify and deliver lessons based on individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families
• Maintain accurate progress monitoring and documentation
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
• Participate in IEP meetings and staff professional development as needed

Educators in this position can expect a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours across five days, serving elementary students in a variety of learning environments. The compensation for this contract role ranges from $35 to $40 per hour, paid weekly.
