Special Education Teacher - Farmington, ME

What we're looking for:

• Valid ME DOE State Licensure (282 certification preferred; conditional considered)
• Current CHRC (Maine DOE Background Check) or eligibility to obtain
• Previous experience in Special Education or related settings, especially working with students requiring adaptive life skills support
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Passion for fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment

What you'll be doing:

• Designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Adapting curriculum and teaching strategies to promote engagement and skill development
• Collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to ensure student success
• Providing direct instruction and support in daily living, social, and academic skills
• Maintaining compliance with state and federal guidelines
