Discover a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students at multiple school locations as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This position delivers in-person speech-language therapy and evaluations to elementary and middle school students, working collaboratively with special education teams to foster meaningful student progress. Full-time hours (37.5 per week) are available from August through late May, providing a structured and stable schedule in a dynamic educational setting.
Essential Qualifications:
- Current, active North Carolina DPI SLP license (must provide proof of active status)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Demonstrated knowledge and use of the ECATS system in a school or clinical environment
- Prior experience delivering speech therapy in school-based settings, including evaluation, IEP participation, and documentation
- Comfortable working with special education populations, including EC PreK, elementary, and middle school students
- Experience in conducting and writing thorough student evaluations, developing annual goals, and presenting in IEP meetings
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student growth
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized, evidence-based speech-language services onsite to students
- Conduct speech/language evaluations and screenings per IEP and referral requirements
- Write present levels of performance, set annual IEP goals, maintain up-to-date documentation
- Actively participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Support student progress through direct therapy, consultation, and collaboration with school personnel
