School Psychologist - Dekalb, IL

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1 years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contracted position is available for a School Psychologist to support a school in Dekalb, IL, starting in August and continuing through the entire school year. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with students, educators, and administrators to promote positive educational outcomes and support student well-being.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students learning and behavioral needs
• Collaborating with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Providing counseling and crisis intervention services to students as needed
• Supporting the school community through consultation and professional development initiatives

Qualifications and desired experience:

• Valid licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
• Experience working in school settings conducting assessments, interventions, and consultations
• Strong knowledge of special education law, assessment tools, and behavioral strategies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with multiple stakeholders

Interviews will be conducted by the Director at the end of April. Placement within the school will consider individual preference regarding caseload and areas of strength, ensuring the best fit for both the professional and the students served.
