Step into an impactful opportunity this summer as an Occupational Therapist supporting students during Extended School Year (ESY) services. This contract position offers you the chance to work closely with a manageable caseload of 10-15 students, providing targeted support within one building for the duration of the role. The assignment runs from June 9, 2026, through July 6, 2026, totaling 23.75 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Exact shift timing, generally between 8 am and 1 pm, will be finalized prior to your start date.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active California OT licensure (or eligibility by start date)
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric environment preferred
- Understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Flexibility to adapt to varying student needs and potential caseload changes
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess student motor, sensory, and developmental needs in accordance with IEPs
- Design and implement therapeutic interventions to support student participation and functional independence in the school setting
- Document progress and maintain accurate records as required by school procedures
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to ensure student success
- Serve as a resource on occupational therapy best practices within the educational environment
