This contract, part-time assignment invites a dedicated OT or COTA to make a meaningful difference over the entire school year. You’ll work 15-20 hours per week with a diverse group of children, helping them build foundational skills for academic and everyday success.
Your expertise will empower students to reach their potential in a collaborative, encouraging environment. You’ll partner with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to tailor interventions that address each student’s individual strengths and needs.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current licensure or eligibility as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Experience or strong interest in pediatric therapy, particularly in educational settings
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Clear and compassionate communicator with students, staff, and families
- Excellent organizational skills and a flexible mindset
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to K-8 students
- Conduct assessments and contribute to IEP planning and meetings
- Develop creative, functional goals and treatment activities for diverse learners
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress notes as required
- Collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to integrate therapy into the school day
