This contract opportunity, located near Kendallville, IN, offers flexibility with a part-time schedule of approximately 3.5 days per week, totaling around 25-27 hours. You’ll collaborate with educators and families to support student success, providing direct therapy and guiding communication development for a diverse caseload.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current or eligibility for state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, though Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are encouraged to apply
- Previous experience or strong interest in pediatrics and/or school-based settings
- Knowledge of best practices for assessment and intervention targeting speech, language, and communication disorders
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with students, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students’ speech and language abilities using standardized and informal assessments
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) targeting communication goals
- Provide direct therapy services and consultative support to students, teachers, and families
- Monitor progress, maintain detailed records, and participate in eligibility, IEP, and team meetings
- Collaborate with teachers and other school professionals to support student achievement
- Stay current on best practices and professional development related to pediatric and school-based speech language pathology
