Step into a rewarding role supporting students as a dedicated speech-language pathologist for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract opportunity offers a consistent schedule, working Monday through Friday, with daily hours from 8:30am to 4:00pm and a 30-minute paid lunch, based on current year hours. You'll be based onsite at a well-supported elementary school, helping to empower young learners through your professional expertise.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current or eligible for DE SLP license (must provide license and resume to be considered, SLP-CF excepted)
- SLP-CCC credential strongly preferred; SLP-CFs are welcome to apply
- Previous experience in school settings and with pediatric caseloads a plus
- Skilled in assessment, IEP development, and progress tracking
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Able to work onsite (remote or assistant positions not available for this role)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to school-age children, primarily within a supportive elementary environment
- Manage a school-based caseload and support Early Intervention as required
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement IEPs, and maintain thorough documentation
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to foster student success
- Adapt interventions and communication as needed for individual student needs
- Attend team meetings and contribute to a positive, proactive school culture
