Step into a contract role supporting students in grades 8-12 throughout the 26/27 school year, running approximately from late August through mid-June. This part-time position offers flexibility, with working days ranging from 1-3 days per week, adjusted according to enrollment.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid DE SLP license and DE certification required
- Experience working in a school environment, particularly with grades 8-12
- Skilled in conducting evaluations, reviewing 60-day IEPs, and monitoring benchmarks
- Confident writing evaluations and participating actively in IEP meetings
- Comfortable collaborating as part of an interdisciplinary educational team
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Open to applicants with their CCC, healthcare, pediatrics, school-based backgrounds, or those completing their CFY
Role Responsibilities:
- Carry out comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students in need of support
- Review and update 60-day IEPs, tracking progress and ensuring benchmarks are met
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing skilled expertise
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with teachers and special education staff
- Maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
