Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a rewarding role supporting PreK-8th grade students near New Orleans, LA as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2024-2027 school years, spanning approximately August 4th through June 24th, 2027. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current licensure in Louisiana for SLP
- Previous experience in school-based settings, preferably servicing PreK-8th graders
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Background in pediatric SLP or experience with diverse pediatric populations
- Ability to implement evidence-based interventions in both individual and group formats
Key Responsibilities:
- Screen, assess, and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on student needs in collaboration with teachers and parents
- Deliver direct services to students in PreK through 8th grade, adapting interventions for IEP goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide documentation in alignment with school and state requirements
- Educate and consult with educators and families, supporting language and communication development in the classroom
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports in compliance with school district policies
- Collaborate as part of a dynamic team, participating in response-to-intervention and other school initiatives
