Make a meaningful impact supporting young learners as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist in a PreK school environment. This contract opportunity runs from August 2026 to May 2027, working with children ages 3-5 across multiple sites in the vibrant New Orleans area. As an onsite-only provider, you’ll collaborate with dedicated educators and families, delivering essential speech and language services that foster lifelong communication skills.
Key qualifications:
- Valid SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Previous school-based SLP experience preferred
- Skilled in conducting evaluations, developing IEPs, and implementing therapy for children ages 3-5
- Ability to manage itinerant caseloads efficiently and flexibly
- Strong interpersonal communication and collaborative skills
- Commitment to delivering services onsite
Primary responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and deliver therapy services to PreK students with diverse speech and language needs
- Develop and update individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting approaches as needed
- Partner with teachers, support staff, and families to optimize each child’s communication development
- Travel between assigned school sites as needed (itinerant position)
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
